Senior Session Information

Once we have booked a date for your photo session, we will chat about location. I am an on-location photographer, which means I go to you: your house, a beach, a local park, downtown, fields, a bridge, a lake ~~~ the options are endless! We can talk by email, telephone or in person, but we should have some conversations prior to your session.

My backdrops are the natural beauty of Washington State. Different locations look better and have better light at different times of day, so I may have suggestions for you regarding location and times. I am a natural light photographer, so most of my sessions will take place in the morning or late afternoon. If you see a picture in my galleries that you especially like, just ask me and I can tell you the location and time of day it was taken.

Sessions usually last 1-3 hours, depending on the location, how many breaks we need to take and if there are any clothing changes. I do not rush sessions and will keep taking pictures right until the very end. Sometimes the last picture is the best one. Please take a look at the Senior Packages as there are different prices/packages depending on the amount of time for the session and the number of clothing changes.

I am located in Sammamish, and I have done sessions all around Sammamish & Issaquah, as well as Seattle, Redmond, Fall City, Mercer Island, Kirkland, Bellevue, Snoqualmie, Alki Beach, Redondo Beach, Golden Gardens Beach.... Your favorite location may become mine too.

After your session, I will individually edit or proof all the best images and put them into an online gallery for you. The gallery will be ready in 7-21 days. I will notify you of your gallery being ready by email or telephone. Your personal gallery is password-protected so you can share it with your friends and family but know that your images are secure.

We can have an in-person or telephone consultation/ ordering session after you have viewed your images. I will contact you within a few days after you receive your gallery information to set up an appointment.

Galleries are online for 30 days. If you need more time to order and have the gallery up longer, there is a $25 charge.

If you have any questions at any time about the session or post-session, please email or calll me!

What to wear

Keep it simple! Stay within your style and what you are comfortable in. Jeans with a great colored t-shirt, a simple sundress, layered outfits with a tank under a sweater topped with a scarf. These are all great choices.

Jewel tones can be gorgeous and usually look better than plain white. Fabric with texture is also better than shiny fabric.

Different accessories such as scarves, hats, jackets, vests are great to bring along to give a change of pace and look. Bring as many clothes as you want and we can go through them together to pick out the best look for you.

If you have a Letterman Jacket, sport uniform, musical instrument, club outfit, special book, cheerleader pompom, sports equipment or anything else that defines you right now bring it! We can incorporate your special talents or interests into your pictures.

A dressier outfit can look so good in a grungy urban setting.

I love hats & hoods.

Bare feet might be requested by me in certain locations or wherever you want, weather permitting of course. But amazing shoes are never wrong.

I have some Pinterest Boards which have some ideas for Senior Photo Sessions.
